I am a person who likes to change my house feel all the time. Recently I updated my living room with all new furniture which meant with that change, everything on the walls had to follow suit. I spent quite a bit of time online searching for the perfect wall art. One thing I learned is that if you want to frame a 6 dollar poster, you are going to dish out over 100 bucks. WHAT...a rip off.
During my search I came upon the "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster. I am not someone who lets stress slide ...

I also believe that somewhere along the way those who do work in the creative world but crawl their way to upper management also tend to lose the concept of the time and effort it takes to develop a creative project.
Something about the article 'How We Work (And Sometimes Skip Some Steps)' made it highly appropriate that it was in ...

Every time I download an app on my iPhone I look at it like it is one of the most simple things I have seen, there isn't anything thrilling about the non gaming apps after you have worked standard web design so my thought is, how hard could it be? I decided to go web surfing to see what I could dig up. What I found is that not only is it difficult but it could be easily a month to roll out the simplest program. Ouch. I don't intend to be popping out any iApps anytime soon, however if you ARE som...

Some took some massive strides, while others kept their simplistic nature. Google other than a little fine tuning is basically the same. Until Yahoo! introduced its web portal a few years ago it really was the same from its inception. Shockingly sites like Craigslist HAVE made progress despite their physical attraction!
It's crazy to see h...

I have made it no secret that BrandNew is one of my favorite blogs on the web. I love fonts, I love logos and I love delving into organizational branding, seeing the designs, how they execute their identity in all that they put together. So naturally, BrandNew is a site that I religiously follow. I have always felt that we have been totally eye to eye every time they unveil what's new in the world of logos and brands, (more...)...

Last week an old college friend sent me a link to a Time Magazine Article she felt I would particularly be interested in. She was 100% correct. I am heavily interested in corporate branding, and I have a clear geek powered love of fonts. While I got my 2010 Ikea Catalog, I hadn't even had a chance to open it up, but I ran quickly to grab it as soon as I finished the article.
